Logic Pro X Template
Here are my free Logic Pro X template. The musical style is electronic and revolves mainly around the Trance genre. Still, you should be able to apply some of the tips to other tracks and genres as well.
I have used a lot of different DAWs during the years and sometimes switch between Ableton Live and Logic Pro X.
I also have some basic serum presets you can download for free if you want. I have used them in some of my tracks.
A basic simple Logic Pro X EDM Template. This template is optimized for almost any type of Mac capable of running the latest Logic Pro X. This template was made with Logic Pro X 10.4.7
This is a great starting point for anyone that wants to explore how Apples music making software works. Its not overly complicated, and its an easy way to kick start how to use logic pro x. In addition you get a pretty cool melody structure to build from. The template is also optimized to be able to run (in realtime) on slower macs.
No third party plugins required, everything you need is included in this template. You only need Logic Pro X.
Minimum Requirements:
- Logic Pro 10.4.7+ (or above)
- Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz (or above)
- 4GB of RAM (or above)
This Simple Logic Pro X EDM Template includes:
- 1 Drum track (with kick, hats, percussion, snare, toms)
- 1 Bass track using ES2
- 2 Synth tracks using Alchemy
- 1 Synth track using ES2
- 1 Audio track recording from a Moog Subsequent 37 synth
- 1 Sweep effect track, made with ES P
- Original melody
- Mixed and mastered. Ready for export.
Nice to know:
The track is mixed using built in channel EQs, effects and side-chained using the noise gate plugin. Again, only stock plugins used. Nothing third party at all.
The quality mode on the alchemy synths is set to “Draft” to save CPU usage. If you have a fast mac you could probably set the quality setting to a higher value. Again, I made this template so that it can be playable in real time on most Macs.
